Colloids and ions are present in all living organisms and are closely tied to life itself, in fact your blood is a colloidal system, your cells are in a colloidal state and so is virtually everything that has lived that you consume as food too. In essence you are colloidal in nature, and virtually all living things in nature are colloidal as well. The developing science of nano-technology and meso-technology are also related to colloidal technology. These sciences are quickly becoming extremely important areas of research that no doubt already touch your life in profound ways even if you have been unaware of this fact. Most people are surprised to discover the importance of the colloidal-state and colloidal systems as they relate to everyday life. The importance of the above mention technologies are impacting our lives at an exponential if not mind-bending rate, as many of you are already acutely aware.
We will discuss 'colloidal systems' and related concepts in general, with a focus on colloidal silver. We will also discuss the counterpart to colloidal silver, ionic silver as well as other forms in brief. It is our experience that the intended use is highly relevant to the form of colloidal silver that is used, there is no a single form of silver that would meet all potential applications in every situation, this is a logical approach. One size does not fit all, however some forms of colloidal silver dispersions perform quite well across an extremely wide array of situations, to such an extent that the terms universal or general purpose are quite accurate. For example bacteria and viruses respond to colloidal and ionic forms of silver differently, the same it true for other cells and organisms. We will be releasing more data regarding this point at a strategic future time, although we also cover these points in more detail in this material later.
Colloidal systems are highly specialized, meaning the chemistry, physics jargon etc. are often used somewhat differently or very differently by different people in different industries.
For example: Electro-chemistry in colloids and dispersions, is a specialized field of study within colloidal chemistry, but the term colloid and related terms as used by someone making ceramic colloids would differ greatly in practical terms from colloidal medicines, polymers etc. There many other examples but you get the picture.
Colloidal technology is employed just about everywhere in every industry. There are also a staggering number of potential applications of colloids that are emerging or are soon to emerge publicly.
Our personal experience is that although colloidal silver is best known historically as used in medicine and dietary applications, the emerging and potential future applications are numerous and go far beyond past perceptual limits. You will get some sense of what we mean in other parts of this web site. We sincerely believe one of the best hopes of mankind for improving the human condition rests in the use of colloidal and nano technology. Our focus during the course of this investigation concerns colloidal silver, ionic silver as well as other transitory group metals in particular, because it is our experience that these areas hold extreme promise in terms of being beneficial to mankind in a multiplicity of ways that are profound. We should also note that although some nano technology applications are new and or emerging, that also come with many unknowns and concerns, the history and applications of colloidal silver in particular has a long well known history with few or none of the concerns that are attributed to other areas of nano-technology.
We have no doubt that some of the most critically needed research involves the use of colloids - nano-particles - hydrosols and ionic forms of transitory group metals in particular, applied in ways that are determined or known to improve the human condition worldwide. For example areas of research that we or others have conducted, show great promise of benefit in such applications as increasing crop yields in agriculture, preventing the spread of disease in animal growing facilities, municipal water purification, improving generation of power, food storage, burn centers, wound care, improving the energy efficiency of electronics, pharmaceutical-development and dietary-enhancement to name just a few. In our experience, the potential applications of this technology is limited only by the imagination.
